WHO ARE WE?
The UOCFP is a small, regional, grassroots and volunteer based charity that is not affiliated with any religious or political group, although we welcome help from anyone. We were founded in 2002, when our name was Ukrainian Orphaned Children's Fund of Philadelphia, but our mission actually began in early 2000. With your help, we can make a big difference in these children's lives!
WHERE DO WE HELP?
The country of Ukraine. There are several thousand children that still need our help in this former Soviet Republic. Although life has improved for many in recent years, we feel the need is just as strong as it was in the 1990's, when Ukraine became independent and life for many was extremely difficult.

OUR MISSION:
To do everything humanly possible to improve the quality of life of the orphans and other disadvantaged children in the country of Ukraine. We will continue to be an honest, viable, worthwhile and responsible charity that will help these children become responsible adults and work towards ways to provide them with the tools for a future.
HOW DID WE BEGIN?
The idea was seeded in the year 2000, when we ran a bicycle tour across Europe, from Paris to L'viv, Ukraine to raise money and awareness for Ukrainian orphans. Then after spending 2 weeks in the Carpathian Mountains at an orphans camp with 300 children, on our return home the idea sprouted that we wanted to do much more for these truly remarkable kids, thus the very beginning of the UOCFP.
